So yes maybe I'm a little crazy for going to Disney at 7 months in June, but rather go than not, right?
Is there any tips or helpful information you could share with me on what to expect I would soooo appreciate it! I've been to Disney many times but I guess I'm wondering, does anyone get so tired a wheelchair is needed or at least between attractions? Can an expectant mother go to the baby center to at least cool off to sit and cool off? Anyone have any problems getting a seat on the bus or would you wait until the next one? Our daughter will be with us too, she's 15, so this baby thing is new for us all over again:lol: Anything else you can tell me or something to bring, I would be greatful. Thanks!

(I hope this is in the right forum)

I went to WDW while 7 months pregnant in May 2010. I had no problems at all. I had to take my time and wasn't able to ride all of the rides I'd have liked to, but all in all it was fine. I had no need for a wheelchair. Every once in a while I got a bit pooped, but found a bench and had a rest. I had no issues on the buses and a few times there were nice folks who gave up their seat for me (which I appreciated but still felt bad about, as I was quite capable of standing). You just have to remember that every woman's pregnancy is different, so you have to trust your body and your judgement about what you need with regards to rest, air conditioning, meals, etc. Just be sure to keep well hydrated, even more so than when you regularly visit and wear your most comfortable shoes! Have a great time and enjoy your baby's first visit to the world!!

I went to WDW twice during one pregnancy: Feb. 2009 (at 3 mos.) and May 2009 (6 mos.), and found the heat, not the walking, took more of toll on me. In tow during these trips were my DH and DD5 (who was 3 at the time). So, we were taking it slower to begin with...but there were many occasions when I had to take "mommy breaks." I'd find the nearest bench (preferable in the shade) and chug 1-2 bottles of water. More often than not, I'd seek refuge in the Baby Care Centers (even if my daughter didn't need a potty break) and shops (sometimes we'd come out with too much). Pack really good & supportive sneakers...there's nothing worse than getting blisters from flip-flops and waddling around the parks in pain (my unfortunate, rookie mistake). This was the only time I contemplated the use of a wheelchair.

I love rollercoasters and "thrill" attractions, but alas, I had to skip them (I even skipped the Safari ride at AK...the heat and being jostled around didn't seem appealing). However, there are plenty of attractions and shows to keep you entertained!

If you don't feel like lugging around bottles of water (or shelling out $3.50 for a large bottle in the parks), you could invest in a filtered water bottle. I bought each family member their own bottle by Bobble for our upcoming trips. And I plan to stop at the water fountains (usually be the restrooms or Baby Care Center) to fill up!

Enjoy your trip!!

Hey! Me too!

Congratulations to you and your family! I was just about to make a thread about this... but here is yours, so I hope you don't mind if I tack on!

My husband and I had a trip planned for the last week of June and it turns out that I will be 7.5 months (30 weeks) pregnant with our first child at the time. I'm equally nervous about being THAT pregnant and looking for advice as well.

I'm expecting a few hours of parks in the morning and evening with a whole lot of resort and pool time in between, does this sound about right?

I noticed Toy Story Midway Mania doesn't have any restrictions for expectant mothers, but as I remember that ride, it whips you around quite a bit and has a very restricting lab bar. Can pregnant women really ride TSMM?!

Thanks to everyone for the advice! I failed to mention I was there in Jan for the marathon weekend and did the 5K race (walking of course) when I was 12 weeks. I think I just have some over bearing extended family who doesn't think going to Disney is a good idea in June, but I'm sure I will be fine by listening to myself.

Congrats to you too! :sohappy:I remember too that TSMM whips you around as you said quite a bit in between the screens. The lapbar though, if I remember right, may not have to be snug against you? I see some small kids ride in their parents lap too. But, I'm not sure on this one either.
Good luck to you!
