Just so everyone knows, this is a new addition to EMH at Disney-MGM Studios. Previously the Playhouse Disney Live on Stage show ended with a 6:45 show and remained closed throughout EMH evenings but now from 10pm-1am they have a dance party with a DJ playing music and dancing throughout the night. The characters who appear the entire night dancing with the kids are JoJo, Goliath, Rolie Polie Olie characters, Mickey,Minnie,Pluto and Goofy (although not confirmed to all appear on any giving night). So far the response has been very positive and hopefully management decides to keep it around.

Wait...
Just so I am clear on this...

They are having a dance party on EMH nights with characters from programs geared toward the preschool crowd (ie. kids under 5 or 6) from 10pm to 1 am?! Am I the only one with little kids who thinks that this idea is insanely bad? Even in Disney my preschoolers are in bed by 9 o'clock latest!

My 3 year old will love this. My daughter is a night owl especially on DISNEY TIME. If we know we are going to EMH at night, She takes a long nap during the day, and then she is good for the night time activities. We have seen plenty of kids her age up at the EMH. It's just how you plan your day. She's so used to it by now. DEcember will be her 6th trip.

I don't have kids, and i know here comes the whole "you have kids then you can talk" but i agree with you completely, what kind of parent has their kids out dancing at 1am? Also do we need to expose children too that mmm tis mmm tis mmm tis music?

Since we travel from So Cal, midnight in Florida is 9 PM for us, which is both my daughters bedtime, so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to be there then.

Then again we avoid EMH days so this doesn't really affect us.

lucky you im a kid at heart and would love to go to it and stuff but i dont think i would make it to that early in the mornin good grief is disney just gonna turn into a 24 hour theme park!! jk but seriously

I think this is and awesome idea. We have 3yo and 2yo who love to dance and have been to Disney 6 times each. If you plan your days correctly it should not be any different than a MNSSHP evening...simply take a good nap in the afternoon and don't paln anything for early the next morning. I just wake up before everyone and make the kids some Mickey pancakes (we are DVC members), they absolutely love it. Remember that you are on vacation, one evening out late will not ruin your kids lives.

SHOCK!!!!

WHAT KIND OF PARENTS ARE YOU????

j/k. No crap. Let them sleep in. They prob won't the next day anyways. I know after MVMCP the kids never sleep in the next day past 8am anyways. It's vacation. What Nazi parents make there kids go to bed at 9 PM anyways?

I agree with everyone here who thinks this is a great idea. Yes, pre-schoolers should normally have a decent bed time. But, they are on vacation. And I must say that every time I am there I see little ones at this hour anyway. Sooooo, party on little people!

Disney's just doing this to get the kids ready for Pleasure Island, much the same way that Phillip Morris is manufacturing bubble gum cigarettes.

Sarcasm in case anyone missed it:lol:
