playground and room views at poly?

The playground has been removed from the Poly. At least, last time I was there 2 weeks ago, it wasn't in the same spot. I couldn't find it anywhere else. Instead, the Poly has gone to a well themed water area, complete with a dancing water play fountain, Lava Tube Volcano Slide, and a river pool with waterfalls. Plus, it's next to the beach. But you can't swim in the lakes.

They need to put the playground back somewhere else...I love the Volcano Pool...I think I'll sneak over there after the Luau hehe! I'm paying to go to another deluxe hotel...it's only fair:)

We stayed at Poly early Dec 2001 and a while I loved it, the fact there was no play area was a major complant of mine, even though at this time my daughter is too young to enjoy it. (the other one being NO HOT TUB, don't get me started.) I have heard Contempory has a great play ground set up.

Just this week we got a post card in the mail for a survay about our stay at Poly. We went into great detail about the lack of play ground and hot tub, I hope they listen and more people complain. (hint hint.) It really is a great resort otherwise.

Just got back from the Poly...

We were on the ground floor of Tahiti and the view was the best view ever! Hawaii supposedly has the best views, but that's a concierge building (Boucoup bucks!)

I recommend Tahiti. The view is outstanding and it's right next to the Ferry and TTC.

Yes, all rooms in Tahiti have balconies, but I really recommend requesting the ground floor. We walked right out of our room to the beach. However, you can't go wrong in this building. Any room is great!
