I suppose this can on the restaurant part of the forum, but it's overall planning sooooo...

I'll be heading up to the World for a long weekend Sept 28 to 30 to run the Tower of Terror 10 Miler and also the first weekend of Food and Wine Fest!

How much do you guys plan ADR's when Food and Wine Fest is going on?

Half of me thinks I can handle both, I WILL be run, walk, crawling this 10 Miler at some point...the other half of me is not so sure (I'd like to think it's the sides of my hips...but, I can't be sure). ;)

We don't. If we are going to be in Epcot during F&W, we are there for F&W. As much as we like the Epcot restaurants, we rather snack all day long during F&W. Now hopping to Epcot during opening weekend may be a bit much as the lines will most likely be decent at dinner time, but if you are in Epcot and have been eating all day, having to wait 10 minutes once to top off the tanks is much better than having to wait 10 minutes 6 times to try to fight off the hunger.

We do the food and wine festival just about every year, and always have done ADRs along with visiting the kiosks around World Showcase. We normally save up alot of our snack credits, and eat around the world with those. If we have an ADR for breakfast somewhere, the late afternoon and evening is spent *sampling*. Or, if we have an ADR in Epcot for dinner, we may snack on one or two offerings. Plan your dinners for after 7pm ... this way you can try a few things and not spoil your appetite for dinner. Have a great time!!!

I'll be there Sept. 28-Oct 2, running the Happy Haunted 5K and enjoying our 12th consecutive Food & Wine Festival!

I would be content to do all my dining at the booths, but (a) that gets expensive lately! and (b) my husband is a bit of a picky-eating meat-and-potatoes guy. So we make ADRs for dinner, and graze the booths for lunches. As @DisneyDebNJ says, later dinners work best for this.

The only time I managed to eat at every booth was two years ago, when my sister-in-law and her husband joined us. They are adventurous eaters like me, and we would share plates.

Yea, I think this is what we are going to do. I DID make 1 breakfast ADR though at Kona, on a day we aren't going to Epcot. Nom nom nom!
