Planning a trip with friends, need help!

So as the title suggests, I'm planning a trip with six other friends to Disney World with an estimated timeframe of May 22nd-June 5th 2015. None of us has planned a trip to Disney World on our own before, and we are looking to do it cheap. Is anyone here aware of good websites to purchase 10 day tickets with park hopper and water parks included, cheap/discount resort prices on Disney property (Two rooms, got guys and girls coming and we wanna separate), and a cheap place to purchase the deluxe dining plan for each of us? Our goal is to keep it under $2,000 each. $1,500 or under would be preferable, but I'm aware that that may be a bit unrealistic for my first two-week DW trip. This will be a lot of people's first time at Disney so we want to maintain a nice Disney experience. Thanks in advance for any helpful info! :)

Are you going for 15 days or is that just the timeframe? I'm assuming at least 10 days, since you want a 10 day hopper pass.

I've heard undercover tourist has discounted tickets, but have not used them personally.

I would look at the All Star resorts, since those are the most economical on site.

Dining plan is through disney. You may want to look at the free dining discount dates for this year, but no guarantee that the dates will be the same in 2015. Once you book, keep checking for discounts because you will get new discounts if you call and your trip qualifies. Your group might want to consider a travel agent to coordinate everything for everyone. This way no one takes the blame if someone is unhappy!

Does the $2000 include airfare? I think this will be a very tight budget for such a long stay.

Hopefully, this gives you a start. I would figure out where you want to stay first, then add tickets and current dining pricing to give you an idea of cost. Hope it works out!!

We're driving down. We're not including the price of travel in our budget. We're thinking of cutting it down to 8 days 7 nights and with 8 days 7 nights we found around $1,528 to be the cheapest we could get it. If anyone is able to find a cheaper alternative, let me know. If anyone still knows a way to keep a 14ish day under $2k let me know, and if anyone can find an 8 day trip for under $1,500 as well, let me know.

Also, a travel agent is calling me back tomorrow. Thank you!

We find 9 to 10 days more than long enough... we spend 5 - 6 days in Disney Parks, 1 - 2 days at Universal, and a down day or water park day.

You wont find discounts on dining plans unless you move your trip to Sept - Dec for free dining then pay the difference to upgrade to the deluxe plan.
If you would be willing to push your trip to Sept and snag free dining, I think its more than do-able. We average $750 - $850 per person on our 8 day/7 night stays at moderate resorts for 3 adults in one room with 5 day tickets w/ water park option, plus free dining.
Otherwise, never pay OOP for the deluxe dining plan... unless you plan on eating at 1 signature a day plus 1 table service per day, you will never even get close to that cost. You would be better mixing the Disney Dining Plan with a few OOP restaurants. Or just pay OOP altogether.

Undercovertourist sell discounted tickets but you won't get much of a discount... you looking at almost $470 just on tickets... are you really gonna spend 10 days in the park plus 10 days at the water parks?

If you leave near target, you can buy discounted disney gift cards (5% off with a red card) and at $2,000 per person for yourself and 6 ppl, you're talking savings of $700.

Keep in mind when you are pricing the room that, I think, there is an extra to have more than 2 adults in one room. You can't get the dining plan unless you book a package (i.e., room, park tickets, and dining all through Disney, without getting your park tickets from a discounter). Deluxe Dining Plan will cost you a pretty penny. Even if you go during a free dining promotion, staying at a Value resort will only get you the quickservice dining plan, and you would have to pay the difference to upgrade to deluxe. If you do the dining plan (and our family does), I would stick with the regular plan if you are trying to cut costs.

You might want to consider talking to someone at Kingdom Konsultants. They are great - no charge for their services and they will get you the best deal possible, including applying new discounts as they are released.

We used Undercover Tourist on our last trip and we saved a bit of money. I would still use them though, especially if you are buying a 10 day ticket.

We were looking at the undercover tourist for ticket prices (no expiration, etc.). How did they work with the new FP system?

Did you have to link them to your disney reservation at all?

We went before MyMagic+ came out so I have no idea. But, I wasn't the one in charge of getting the park tickets for our trip. (We divided and conquered).
