Planning a trip to DLP

hello there, my first post.

i've been to WDW now 5 times since i was young (i'm only 21) and to DLP the once. me and my mrs, have decided to go to DLP in november.

looking round at prices is so confusing! we're looking to stay at the cheyenne (trying to keep costs down we're ex students :lookaroun)
seen that DLP have got a lot of offers going round, we're going to go for the 4 days/3 nights option (but will upgrade to the 5 day/4 nights free upgrade)
noticed they are now doing free meals.

so i got a quote off disney's site on sun, and got a quote for £464 (apparently prices fluctuate by the minute) for the cheyenne, 4nights/5days, 5day tickets (take it they're hoppers?)
then going on eurostar £170 (direct) return for me and her.
so that came to £664 going 9th of November

now went into a travel agents today in town, and got a price of £860 half board (what sort of halfboard is it? which restaurants can i eat at?), same duration of stay and eurostar

then

in another one i got a price of £584 with food (i guess it was halfboard) but no transport. i presume she did it for the same length as the first option! adding my own transport it comes to £754.

which one sounds past? is it possible to combine the meal offer and extra day/night offer?

(i think i need a woman there to listen, my mind wonders too much:hammer:)

hope that makes sense!
can anyone shed some light on these things?

I don't know where you travel from, but I always book directly from DLP online - no half board (options are limited, and we've always found no probs eating when and where we want), but breakfast and hopper passes are included; then book easyjet from Newcastle. I usually manage to do it quite cheaply that way. The first quote you mentioned sounds about right. All you need to pay then are meals and the shuttle bus from C de G to DLP (of course if you use Eurostar you don't even need that). And souvenirs! Cheyenne is very good, and well themed - you should enjoy it.

I always book the hotel and tickets direct too. Once I have them I'll find the best transport option. To dlp I've flown from Coventry airport (don't think it's still around for passenger flights but at the time it was very cheap) and the got a shuttle to dlp. I've also used the eurostar from London which basically takes you straight into dlp.

I think the prices you've seen are a little high. Go straight to the dl website and check their calendar during the booking process, it tells you when is cheaper to stay. Remember that all the official hotels come with breakfast but I'm not sure if the same is true for the partner hotels.
