With the news that Disney is making another planet of the apes trilogy could we see planet of the apes in any of the Disney parks? Personally I think it would make for an awesome land at animal kingdom or Hollywood studios.

We need time for things to happen.

Being that they dragged their feet to put together a land based on one of the most popular\provem IPs ever, It would BE the actual planet of apes before that would happen.

I'm a huge Planet of the Apes fan, but I sure wouldn't want to see this in a Disney park. Post apocalyptic Earth doesn't really scream "Happiest Place on Earth" to me.

They already have the best Rod Serling Storytelling represented. I don't see anything that the Planet of The Apes translating to a theme park other than a random reference in A movie studio themed park.

No... not going to spent the money needed to put in another expensive land.
But this would be a great way to sell the Photopass.

I've seen the old ones (and love 'em) and maybe one or two of the more recent ones. All I know is the original first one really creeped me out when I was a kid. Now I have that image of those weird people who lived underground and had no hair with those veiny scalps who worshiped the bomb... 😬

It wouldn't make any sense at all at Animal Kingdom for the same reason Zootopia doesn't make sense.

Basically anything works at current DHS, though.

…eh…i thought so…they actually did that too fast in restrospect
LOL. Well I mean, they sat on it to see how the new trilogy would do, when they could have easily done a land on the original trilogy and it would have been a success. The truth is, if you do something well, doesn't even matter what the IP is. No one cares about Avatar but the land done as well it was, is a success.

Heck - Universal had the new Kong ride ready to roll before the new movie had a release date.. ;)

oh I could go on…but I don’t want to annoy Mr. Penguin…

i think with the lands they way misinterpreted the success of their early IP moves. Didn’t read the tea leaves. The ridiculous construction timelines then caught them in no mans land on it…opening lands based off box office mistakes or outright flops already on the board.

but I get it…they couldn’t just build an ice land with wampas chasing you around…not good business.

you get chafed when you sit on a fence post…however
