All,

Need some help on our trip coming up since we need to make dining reservations later this week, and I want to plan the trip around them. Any thoughts/suggestions on plan of attack:

May 1 Wed- Arrive at 2pm. Holywood Studios Day
May 2 Thurs- Animal Kingdom All Day (Is Rivers of light worth it)
May 3 Fri- Epcot All Day (Illumniations)
May 4- Sat Resort Day at Poly (Miniature Golf/Dinner at Disney Springs)
May 5- Sun Animal Kingdom/Epcot (Dinner in World Showcase)
May 6- Mon Magic Kingdom All Day (Lunch at BOG and Fireworks)
May 7- Tues Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom Day
May 8- Wed Holywood Studios/Epcot (Dinner in World Showcase)
May9 -Thurs Magic Kingdom (Flight is at 7pm)

Looks like an awesome agenda! It's a good thing you have HS at the end of your trip as well. We have it at the beginning of ours and we couldn't get a slinky fastpass. So if that's on your bucket list you may have more luck getting it on the May 8 day instead of your first day.

I am hoping that the new Runaway Railway is open by that point, but I have my doubts. Not really into the Slinky Dog coaster, but want to make sure we get to hit up fantasmic and ToT at least a few times.

Any thoughts on Rivers of Light? I have heard mixed feedback regarding it

I liked it. My wife said 'meh' Its unique...peaceful, slower then other shows, but worth it in my opinion, at least once!

Also, HS studios...be sure to check out the Star Wars and projection show about movies right before it. Even if you're not a Star Wars fan, its a really cool show.

Looks like a great trip!

Thanks! Do you think we still have enough pool time in there as well?

We try to have at least one resort/pool day during our trips if we are there 6-8 days, usually in the middle of the week. We find it necessary to recharge for the second half of the week. We then usually spend the evening at Disney Springs.

My only question is regarding AK - you have a full day as well as 2 mornings - that may be a little too much, at least for me.

I was going to try and ride FOP as much as we can since I have never been on it. Would you swap that out with Magic Kingdom?

Are you annual pass holders where it doesn't matter if you go to the parks all those days or did you already purchase your tickets? For us, we have to do a day where we can sleep in, recharge, sit by the pool, and we usually go to DS at night for dinner. For me, that's quite a bit of park hopping and that alone can get exhausting. But again, that's just my thought. If that type of schedule works for you, that's awesome! You definitely get your money's worth then!

This is a very subjective topic!! I personally wouldnt go to the park on day or arrival and departure, i dont like feeling rushed, and catching a flight is stressful even if its vacation, on some level. but if you bought the tickets already and you're a park junkie, then your schedule is perfect!!

Nope! First trip as a couple and before we have kids so we wanted to do as much as we can. On some of the split days I assume we will hit up the main attractions in the morning pool it in the afternoon and head to the other park in the evening to get on some more rides.

We loved RoL. I would definitely try it and see if it’s for you. Maybe watch a few minutes on YouTube to see if it’s something you would like. Enjoy your prekids trip! We have some really wonderful memories from the trips we took before kids. It also made trips with kids that much more special :) The only thing I would change is you wait so long to go to MK. I don’t care what time we get there I must go see the castle first. It’s not a Disney trip until we go to MK. But that is just us. I know lots of people who don’t feel that way. MK just starts the trip off with magic for us :)

I have gone back and forth on that! I wanted to go on that Saturday, but I figured that would be the busiest day that we are there so I chose that as a resort day. I might flip MK and Animal Kingdom.
