Places with discount theme park tickets

So I am just looking for a one day pass for the family at Magic Kingdom next week. I haven't bought the tickets yet, I was going to see what our resort (off site) had and was going to check out all of the shops that sell tickets as they are all over the place and well advertised.

In the Orlando/Kissimmee area where would you go for those tickets, or where have you gone? Also what would be the price of a one-day base ticket at these places? I usually have bought tickets before I have left home, but didn't do that this time. Thanks.

There are some sites that claim to have discount tickets. I wouldn't trust them to be honest. It's not worth the hassle IMO. Going to WDW can already be complicated and linking tickets from a vendor to the FP+ might be tedious. I would just eat the extra few bucks and get them from Disney. That way you know it's legitimate and might save time. This is what I do when I go to DL (I'm an AP at WDW).

I believe that WDW doesn't sell discounted 1 day tickets to any legitimate broker. That is why if someone like Undercover Tourist sells them, they are usually at a slight markup so they can still make a profit while offering the ticket as a convenience to their customers. Anyplace offering discounted 1 day tickets is most likely either dealing in tickets obtained through some illegitimate method, or there is some other "catch" involved to get them at a discount IE timeshare tour.

While I would almost never recommend buying tickets from WDW direct instead of a legitimate 3rd party broker, a one day ticket is best bought through WDW.

Travel agents don't earn commission on 1 and 2 day tickets either.

I stopped in a place on 192 tonight and basically they are selling you passes based on going to a time share sale. Spend three hours of your time and they knock 100. Off the price of a two day hopper.

Disney does give out (and fairly easily too) free one day park hoppers to charity groups. They use them for tricky trays, silent acutions, door prizes or what have you, so it is possible to come across them.

However I would NOT buy them second hand, and be aware that these tickets have a face value of $0. That means if you want to upgrade them, you get no credit for the price (as opposed to if you were trying to upgrade a regular one day, you would get credit for the price of a one day when upgrading).
