The animation studio in Japan led by Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, and Toshio Suzuki, responsible for these highly-acclaimed works:

--Laputa: Castle in the Sky [1986]*
--Grave of the Fireflies [1988]
--My Neighbor Totoro [1988]*
--Kiki's Delivery Service [1989]*
--Only Yesterday [1991]*
--Porco Rosso [1992]*
--The Ocean Waves (I Can Hear The Sea) [1993]
--Pom Poko [1994]*
--Whisper of the Heart [1995]*
--Princess Mononoke [1997]*
--My Neighbors the Yamadas [1999]*
--Spirited Away [2001]*
--Howl's Moving Castle [2004]* {to be released in theaters in the US on June 10th, 2005}

The ones with an * have either been distributed by Disney on DVD and/or VHS already, or are going to be released soon. Studio Ghibli's films are highly acclaimed throughout the world (except by certain critics like Daniel Neman :hurl: ) and have been the inspiration for all of Pixar's films. However, Ghibli animates traditionally, by hand--except in My Neighbors the Yamadas, which was done on computer in a sketchy, unusual style.

I like both, although I havn't seen as mani Ghibli films. But I really enjoyed the one's I have seen.
