Pixar Play Parade is now five years old, can you believe it? Although, it was on hiatus for almost two years of that time due to major construction on and around the DCA parade route.
The five year old parade got a mild update this past weekend, with a Monsters University float and dancers kicking off the parade. It's clever and cute. They play the Monsters U fight song, a bevy of cheerleaders get the crowd going, and the Monsters U mascot the "Scare Pig" (I'm not making that up) leads the way for a college-aged Mike & Sulley on the lead drum float.
My favorite part? The cheerleaders pom-poms open up to reveal they are actually small monsters with giant mouths. How do they think of this stuff?!?
