Pixar Disney Rides/Attractions

If Disney and Pixar are no longer affiliated, what is going to happen to Pixar attractions at Disney World such as Buzz Lightyear's SPace Ranger Spin, Pizza Planet, etc.? They are not going to be taken down, are they? They just recently put up Finding Nemo at the Living Seas. I really enjoyed Pixar.

Disney owns all the rights to ALL the content of the Pixar movies. Also, Mike Eisner has wisely decided not to give these rights back to a greedy Steve Jobs.

Oh good. Pixar is one of my favorite things. However, Pixar and Disney are no longer affiliated in movie-making right? Is Disney making its own 3D movies without Pixar now?

Steve Jobs may be greedy, but right now his people are the most creative in the market.

I'm glad Disney can keep all the Pixar movie rights. They're great and many more rides can be developed from Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo. I heard about a possible Bumper Car ride themed from Toy Story's soldiers. Why not theme them from the movie Cars? I'm sure that might be the case. I hope we'll see some more from these movies in the parks soon.

What do we have from Monsters Inc. in the parks again? I know Toy Story and Finding Nemo, but what else is there?

There is a "Meet & Greet" area at the Disney-MGM Studios with Sully and Mike from "Monsters Inc."

Oh. I'm surprised there aren't many Pixar rides though. (Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is the only one. Correct me if there's another one.)

Well there is It's Tough to be A Bug. I know it's a show and not a ride but it is, however, a major attraction.

I remember when the first Toy Story came out. I saw it at the El Capitan Theatre of opening week. And after the movie was a half of the theatre with all kinds of TS activities. They had little green "feet" like the army men. You slipped your feet into them and waddled around an obstacle course with a rope swing. They had all the TS games on Super NES to play (about 50 systems) and one gigantic T.V. with like a seven foot controller. You felt like a toy playing on that thing. They also had the alien slime machines, whack an alien, and some sort of water shoot the target while your water level rises race kinda thing. I say that to say this. Perhaps Disney will open a play area like that. A bit modern I hope, but the same concept.

unfortunitly they are not the most creative in the market. technology wise they are a bit outdated now. I don't like steve jobs he gets not only greedy but controlling and ends up only hurting himself in the end. look what he did to apple. apple could have far surpassed the pc if he wasn't greedy. anyway, i think they need a 3d team that will take them far beyond traditional 3d. we need 3D with the detail of hand drawn animations, the dance scene in beauty and the beast is still one of my favoriots. they need to come up with new concepts and techniques. i hope disney can pull that off on its own. walt would be proud if they could.

Woody13, with all respect, I believe the greedy one is Eisner. Jobs is a man who created his company, and has been with it until now. Every success in it is a personal success, and all creative work is for the sake of advance and technology. Of course he fills his purse, but with creativity.

Eisner, at the other hand, came to Disney when it was already a big company, and was the direct cause for Roy Disney to leave the company. Greedy? Eisner is the greedy, one visit to savedisney.com and you will learn why.

And about the Pixar/Disney stuff, is great Disney can still use the characters of the Pixar movies. But in the other hand is very sad that their partnership ended, because Pixar will still produce great pictures and Dinsey will cry because the great castle won't appear at the beggining.

I would have to say that Steve Jobs is more like Walt Disney the Eisner. I don't know if Steve would be better at the helm of Disney then Eisner but my guess would be yes.

(by the way did you know that Steve tried to sell Pixar to Bill Gates about 2 or 3 years before Toy Story...for about $50 million I think...)

((this is my first post here - woohoo!))
