Are we really going to condone standing on garbage cans to get new FL pics, now that Dumbo is closed? Shouldn't this site and its community say SOMETHING about acting in an unsafe manner in the park, or is "pics at all costs" acceptable?

I used a tripod for the last batch of over the wall photos. Between Keating and myself we usually have a new set of aerials every month or more, so no need to be standing on trash cans.

Pics at all costs is, was and always will be acceptable. Just so long as the safety of the photographer and the comfort of other guests is not endangered.

Standing on a trash can is hardly "pics at all costs."

I can't really see anyone standing on a garbage can, especially with a camera.

As far as I'm concerned, you people can rummage through the dumpsters near all the imagineers' home adresses, looking for scraps of information, just to feed me my daily dose of Disney gossip. :zipit:

Did someone actually stand on a trash can or is this just a random thread? Why would anyone risk falling and hurting themselves/their camera lol

Not something I would be doing, but I've seen plenty of people do it. Even during parades/fireworks.

The worst I've seen it wa last Halloween in Disneyland Paris watching a nightie show. There were people nearly climbing trees!

This is a big problem in Paris, there just doesn't seem to be the same respect from guests visiting. I see people clime trees, walls, trash cans and walk all over flower beds.

i am 5 foot 11, and i stand on a 5 inch off the ground ledge to get my pics, even though i myself could not see for myself.

I find it hard to believe anyone is standing on garbage cans...

I can tell you that a memo went out to security just over 2 weeks ago.. They are to detain anyone photographing 'over the walls' that they see.. Memory cards will be confiscated and individuals will be escorted off property.. It has happened twice since the memo went out..

Be careful.

I can't see how this can work. There are no signs saying no photography.

So are you saying that if I walk by the wall, put my hand up in the air, and take a photo over the wall, I'm going to have my memory card taken and be ejected?

Why would Disney even want to limit hype being built around their addition? Makes no sense.

Exactly I'd love for security to try and take my 32gb memory card. I would have a field day with them.
