Has anyone ever done this? Can it be done? If someone went to Disney with an original product idea how would you go about it.

I am just curious, and I know that they have probaby thought of it all, but can it even be tried?

I am just curious, I always go to the parks and end up leaving saying "why dont they have this....or do this?"

I believe there is a link on the corporate site with information on how to become a vendor...but I'm not sure where it is. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will come along soon and be able to give you more info.

Disney does not accept unsolicited material.

Nor does any large company.

That said, there are ways to get yourself a pitch with the company, but you will probably need someone with some pull to get that for you. The best way is to work with an advertising company that is known to work with Disney.

I have heard that term over and over and sort of know what it means....but what is considered unsolicited material, or what is the exact definition.

And does anyone know how to contact marketing companies that work with disney if thats the only route to go?

The definition will take on a little of a different meaning with each company but in a nut shell if you were not contracted by the company to create said material it is considered unsolicited. The reason that most if not all companies do not accept unsolicited material is to protect themselves against possible copyright infringements lawsuits.
