I wonder if they are hoping some of the stink of The Lone Ranger washes off Depp and we all forget about it before they bring out the next Pirates film.

I honestly think its a mix of budget fear and a mix of overcrowded tent pole releases for that year!
2015 already had Finding Dory, Star Wars 7, and Avengers 2 all coming out that year which all cost a very pretty penny...

Yeah, when you're going up against a new Star Wars movie and the Avengers, all of a sudden Pirates is the little art house movie that can get shoved around.
I think they want to get that Star Wars money machine rolling ASAP. Is it fair to say that Episode VII is already the most anticipated movie anywhere? Avengers is locked in with Marvel's release schedule. I don't know if these are the reasons, or if it's problems with Pirates, but I think it's a good move.

I also just forgot that Disney also is releasing Marvel's Antman movie that is suppose to be a big hit as well for 2015!

So instead of Pirate's we're getting Antman? Sounds cool, been waiting to see him represent in the Cinematic Universe. 2015 is going to be awesome anyways.

That is a very good bet. And now you have Jurassic world coming that summer as well. I also hope that maybe they are also making sure they have a good story as well.

I'm talking about Disney/Buena Vista...
If you look at their 2014 itinerary movie schedule, lots of smaller type films and a few bigger budgeted films.
For 2015 however, all there is are huge budgeted blockbuster type films... Disney will hit the jackpot that year with those 4 tentpole releases...billions will be made...

Yea I know its Universal, I just think they won't want to compete with the next Jurassic park movie. I believe there are more people clamoring for the next Jurassic than pirates. Also with the plan of a Star Wars movie every year, now they can dominate 2015 and 2016. Its a smart plan.
