UK's The Sun has landed new pictures from the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest set featuring Keira Knightley practicing fight scenes with stuntmen and fellow actors on the island of St. Vincent, Johnny Depp in character as Captain Jack Sparrow and several sets. Meanwhile, Latino Review recalls talking to Geoffrey Rush recently about the second film who said, "Yes, I’m doing the sequel with my little monkey again. A small part." So expect Rush's Barbossa to appear briefly in the next film, and he may have a bigger role in the third installment.
Also, Dark Horizons sat down with Orlando Bloom who said they are shooting the two sequels separately and not simultaneously as was previously believed. He says he hasn't read the third film's script yet. The Caribbean shoot is mostly for the second and some of the third film, most of the third will be done in Los Angeles.
Talking about his role of Will Turner, Bloom mentioned that "Will is the straight man who moves the story forward and he continues that. He becomes more of a pirate, but piracy is not in his blood in the same way it is for Jack Sparrow." He added, "there are plans to darken Will up a little, and make him a little more questionable which will then resolve themselves".
