Pirates Premiere DISASTER for CMs!!!

I'm actually surprised I haven't seen it on the boards yet- but has ANYONE been reading up on the horrible treatment of DL CMs during the POTC premiere at DL or anything surrounding this event? Apparently, according to another site- the CM's who were staffing the event had to be rounded up during the actual showing of the film- and were treated to a pathetic meal in almost pitch black conditions- and after that they were expected to staff the various after events after this awful treatment. Not to mention the snubbing of DL security in the planning stages of this event. WHERE THE HELL DOES the studio get off doing this to the CMS??? I'm livid right now and I don't even work there- aren't there rules in business against treatment like this? Sorry had to vent.

The report I read was on another website- that I don't want to mention- but my issue- whether they're getting paid or not is just the lack or respect that they were treated with.

Rodney Dangerfield made his living on getting no respect. I think the CM's can handle that with no problem, as long as they get paid too!:lol:

The way the studios treated the CM's was shameful. They deserve a lot more for their work. Damn budget and administration always get in the way.

If people can win lawsuits for "not knowing hot coffee was supposed to be hot" those CMs should get together and sue the studio for treating them like dirt. If the studios didn't want CMs to see the movie they should've suplied their own personnel or find another place for the preview. Stupid suits, don't they realize they wouldn't have a movie if it weren't for the park attraction? :fork:

Although there is no excuse for rudeness, that is generally what happens at these types of events. You are expected to put up with whatever happens.

I remember being in a situation where I was supposed to be letting in certain people but not others and the people I was supposed to let in really weren't too distinguishable from the other people... Well the people who were waiting and not being let in wanted to know why but of course I couldn't tell them (security reasons) and well let's just say I was exhausted after the 2 hours it took to finally get the right people in before letting on the regular people.
