Pirates Premier

Just got back from a wonderful...and cold...trip to WDW, and heard an interesting rumor.

We were speaking with a CM at MGM, and told us to look for a Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean very soon at WDW. He said that the premier of the second Pirates movie will be held at WDW in June or July, hence the Depp updates to Pirates. Something to think about...

Premiere at WDW....highly unlikely since they are doing another one at Disneyland.

Don't trust Cms for rumors. The premier for Dead Mans Chest will be in Disneyland like the first one.

Does anyone know when the premiere in DL is gonna be? The first pirates came out on my b'day in 2003 and im going to DL for by 21st bday this year and it would be cool if it happened around the time we were there!

As an Adventureland/Liberty Square CM and one who has too many friends who work at pirates to name, no.

Look for the premiere a few days or maybe a week before July 7th. End of June very first days of July.

That is a very old rumor amongst the CMs that was floating around last summer and got reborn this fall while casting for extras in the films were being held in Orlando... The premiere will not be at WDW because there is not enough publicity and press out here as there is in Disneyland...

just an interesting little fact---this past summer when we were on a cruise in the southern caribbean, we rode on the ship that the film was shot on. so if anyone is a huge pirates of the caribbean fan-you can ride on the ship the film was shot on. it was on the island of st. lucia.
