Actually, the pirate store was open when we went this weekend.

I know; my point is that the refurbishing schedule only mentions an early opening for the store. Soft previews are usually communicated to CMs everywhere through the Company's intranet.

There may be a small pre-parade, but that has not been announced internally either.

The idea for a pirate-themed float has been circulating for almost a year. At one point, they were considering adding it to Spectromagic.

Watch the 'Pirates in the Parks' which is an extra on the 2nd DVD. You can get some awesome ride footage of Walt Disney and PotC in DL.

Thanks for pointing that out DellDude! The extra footage is great and I love the virtual ride thru on the computer. DS and I actually played with that moonlight picture thing for quite a while. I now have pictures of both my kids looking like dead pirates, very cool!
