Pirates of the Caribbean the movie

I was just browsing Greg's Preview's over at Yahoo! movies, and on the the preview page for PoC he says pretty boy, and fellow Kentuckian, Johnny Depp is in talks for the lead role. If this is true how do you think he's going to do as one of our beloved pirates?

I don't know,but man, taht is going to be a funny movie if it ever gets made!!! I hope they keep the dog....

I think Johnny Depp would be all wrong for this movie. I guess he's no longer looking for Oscar-worthy roles?
