Disney Online has announced that it will unveil the first images and a playable version of Pirates of the Caribbean Online at E3.
The never before seen game will make its debut at E3 which begins on May 10. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game is slated for release in 2007 and is based on the film franchise. Players will be able to experience the world captured on the big screen, interacting with Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and other characters from the movie franchise.
Players will embark on quests for treasure as you seek to become the Caribbean's most legendary pirate. Create your own custom character using hundreds of customisation options, form a crew and then set sail on an epic adventure. On your journeys you will learn new skills from Jack Sparrow, hunt for buried treasure, battle undead forces and face off against enemies from the movies.
The game is in development by the Walt Disney Internet Group's VR Studio and is designed to appeal to a broad audience. A monthly subscription will be required to play the game. Expect more on the game from May 10.
