Just asked DW. She said it depends on the context. It’s pirates of the care-ah-bee-ann but you go on a car-rib-ee-an Cruise.

Pronounce? We say Ka-rib-ean but we have been told the correct way is Ker-ib-ean. It supposedly has something to do with the indigenous islanders, the Caribe. Apparently KER is better than KA or KUH as the initial syllable. We try but ingrained speech habits seem to resurface.

Both are acceptable I believe. I've been known to fluctuate between the two. I spend my vacations exploring the Ke-rib-ean! Pirates of the... Ker-ib-ean!
