Has anyone who's been to the parks recently noticed any Pirates of the Caribbean movie merchandise for sale anywhere? I haven't been able to find any licensed products related to the movie anywhere outside of the parks, and it seems odd that Disney would miss a profitable opportunity like this.
and there was absolutely nothing for sale related to the movie. A cast member told me that the reason for this is due to the fact that Country Bears and Treasure Planet were not successful, and the merchandise sat on the shelves until it was clearanced, and that the magnitude of the success of Pirates came as an absolute surprise. What a huge missed oppurtunity!
