Pirates and Princesses Admission Question

Hi,
I'm taking my family to WDW in early August. Our last night there is the 11th, which just happens to be the first P&P night in August.

Can anyone tell me how admission works for this. I understand tickets are going to be approx $40. Is that for adults? My 3 year old son and 1 yr old nephew will be attending at least a portion of the evening. Is there a child's price?

Quick Answer

You can be admitted to P & P party two ways, I believe. You can go at 7:00 pm when the party starts and they will give you a wristband (that people do check) and you can enter the park at 7:00 pm with your P&P Ticket. Meaning you do not have to have a park ticket to Magic Kingdom as well. I would advise if you do this to get there a bit early as a line does form to get in. The entrance is neat with red carpets and fog/smoke machines. YOu are given a little bag to collect coins and treats in.

If you were already in the park that day; I believe they have stations inside the park where you can give them your ticket for that night's P&P party and they will band you inside the park. I do not believe they clear the park and make those already inside, re-enter.

HOpe this helps.

Have fun...it is a cool party.

I'm not sure about the pricing, but I can comment on the tickets. We called from Canada to get tickets and they said that we could have them sent to us or we could pick them up at MK Guest Relations. We simply showed up at 6:30pm (bring photo ID for sure) and got tickets to get in. The tickets allowed us to get bracelets like an EMH night. As we were entering, the park was closing to those without P&P tickets. The evening was awesome. We saw 'Wishes' and the 'Magic, Music and Mayhem' fireworks along with the special P&P parade. From 7:30pm until 12:30am we did so, so much. I've never been in a park without it being really crowded, so it was awesome walking on everything with a 5 min. max wait. It's a great night. If you search the boards, you'll find lots of info on it, but my advice is to just go!

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like a great time.

Has anyone brought children? I would assume admission would be less for children like the regular admission pricing.

I honestly don't remember if there was a children's admission price, but I assume there was [it would have struck me as odd if there weren't, if that makes sense]. If it's like anything else, you'll only need a ticket for the 3yo, the 1yo is considered "Mickey's Guest" and gets in free.

EDIT: Although not the same event, another "Hard Ticket" event that I could find pricing for on the Disney site is MVMCP, which does have children's pricing:

Advance Price*:
Ages 10 and over: US$39.95 + tax
Ages 3 – 9: US$31.95 + tax

Day of Event Price:
Ages 10 and over: US$45.95 + tax
Ages 3-9: US$37.95 + tax

Yes, there is a child's price for P&P. Your 3 year old will be at the child's price and your 1 year old nephew will be free. The party starts at 7:00 PM but you will be allowed admission to MK as early as 4:00 PM. I highly recommend getting there early to get some of the rides out of the way. There are so many special events that are going on at P&P (swashbuckling, dance parties, parade, fireworks etc.) rides and attractions that are there everyday become almost secondary.
