Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage

I did post this in WDW With Kids, but got no replies so wondered if it would be better off asking in here :) (Admin, please feel free to close/delete the other thread if necessary!).

My DS is obsessed with Captain Hook and Mr Smee, and I'm considering whether or not to book on the Fireworks Voyage. He'll be almost 2 and a half when we go, so I'm wondering if it might be too late, or too long for him. I have no idea about timings on this whatsoever! He would be SO excited to meet them, but I just want the experience to be worth it for him.

Has anyone here been on it, and have any advice? Thanks

I replied on your other thread. Its a fun night. We have done it three times. Planning on it again. We have done it just as a family, and with my parents and brothers family. Its a great time. Enjoy!

every kid is different, so it depends on what time he usually goes to bed, how does he do when he is up late and how late are the fireworks that night.
the trip itself is very nice, but a major time investment

Thank you so much for your replies everyone :)

I've gone ahead and booked it although when I rang, I did have to have a chat about timings obviously based on what time Wishes would be happening. We went for the 7.45 'voyage' with 9pm Wishes rather than the 8.45/10pm one on our preferred day, because we thought it would be too late for our DS.

Really, really looking forward to it now :D Just need someone to be able to speed time up, and make it December already ;)
