Pirate overlay review

Yesterday I got to go to Disneyland and I have to say that I was VERY skeptical about this overlay. I figured it would be VERY temporary and just be a couple of pirates walking around.

I was pleasantly very surprised! This is now a highlight I will have to go go back to! The pirate show was great, with fun irish folk style seafaring songs. There are plenty of little treasures to find all over the island (usually with interactive work to reveal them). I would encourage everyone to duck into the caves. It's FAR more than a big playground now.

There is a nod to Tom Sawyer still, but you'll have to sit through the pirate show to hear it.

Uh.... Pirate's Lair has been open for one year now. :lookaroun

But thanks for the review, as I agree with you! It's a lot more fun than the island used to be.

Yes I just went. As I said, I was very skeptical about spending time poking around the island when the only thing that I thought was going to be different was the fact that there were pirates around.

Never the less, behind the times or not, I was impressed with their changes!
