Pirate Makeover?

During our trip to Magic Kingdom my 2 year old and I had a very in depth discussion revolving around this statement made while in the queue for PotC...

"I not a pirate, daddy. Only BOYS are pirates."

When we were on the ride, I was looking around... and sure enough... EVERY pirate in the ride is male. I couldn't prove her wrong on the ride, which made it difficult. She believes what she sees (I love her for that).

So I took her over to the counter for the Pirate Makeovers ... and there was a woman dressed as a pirate behind the register. She joined the discussion with my daughter and we were all laughing and enjoying the delightful things my princess says ("Daddy, you're crazy!")

Eventually, the woman picked up the card and pointed out the Pirate Empress package, saying that with disney magic they'd turn my princess into a Pirate Queen.

Ever since that... she's stating that she wants to be a pirate for her birthday.

I'm a sucker and will do anything for daddy's lil girl... so before we get into Epcot too much, we're going to pop over and get her the empress package.

I know its $49.95 ... but what does it come with? Is it a worthy purchase? I don't really WANT to spend 149.95 to get the bibbidi-bobbidi-botique makeover... which is why this is so appealing.

Help!

Well nvm, I was going to say that resort guests get half off at the Pirates place but that ended on the 3rd I think.

This is what you get for the empress package

Empress Package at $49.95 plus tax includes:

Bandana (reversible)
Vibrant and Bold Makeup Makeover
Face Gem
Nail Polish
One (1) 5x7 picture
Additional pirate costumes for this package are available for purchase at The Pirates League.

It is as "worth it" as similarly priced packaged from BBB. Your little girl will love it and you will forget about the $50 pretty quickly.

Also while female pirates were rare they did exist so your daughter can be a pirate. Here is a list of a few of them.

Anne Bonny (1719-1720) Female Pirate of the Caribbean

Mary Read - Famous English Female Pirate of the Caribbean

Lady Killigrew (1530-1570)

Grace O’Malley - Famous Irish woman pirate who commanded three galleys and 200 men

Mrs. Peter Lambert of Aldeburgh, Suffolk

Jacquotte Delahaye - Female Pirate of the Caribbean

Anne Dieu-le-veut - Female Pirate of the Caribbean

Charlotte de Berry - Woman pirate

Mrs Ching - Chinese wife of a pirate who turned to Piracy after his death

Mary Crickett (or Crichett) was a female pirate who was hung

That seems like a good time to me... and she'll adore it.

Thanks for the info, Yoda.

Any idea on how much costumes cost? A cute little pirate dress would be perfect.

EDIT: Also, just saw this...

All packages include a sword and sheath, earring and eye patch, tattoo, exclusive pirate coin necklace, map case folder, and a personalized pirate oath!
