As a matter of fact, I went back in August. I don't know about comparing it to other dinner shows, since that was the first one I had been to, but I really enjoyed it. The only thing is, depending on how late your son likes to be up, the main show and dinner doesn't get out until around 10PM. The show itself is pretty fun, if slightly cheesy, but it's a good cheese. If you pre-purchase your tickets, then when you arrive, you can upgrade them for something like 3 dollars more, which pretty much puts you in the front row or two. There are pre-show appetizers which are pretty good and they have a small pirate museum in the building. When the show starts out you see the "Golden Gypsy" as well as the Princess. Both are kidnapped by pirates and then you are seated based on the color of the card you are given and the number on the card. There are six colored seating areas and the area you are in has a pirate that wears that color. You spend the night rooting for that pirate. I will warn you, the pirate names are really bad and account for a good deal of the cheese factor(Jed the Red, Andre the Orange, Benji the Blue????) But the acting is pretty good, and there are some musical numbers in there. They do get the kids involved in the show later on in a fun way, too, so I would say that its worth doing at least once and I know I want to get a group together to see it again, but this time without my kids since they were way tired by the time it was done and I don't know if they would sit through it again.
