I'm going to WDW in May and I'm looking forward to Pin Trading. I was wondering if there are any unwritten rules about trading?

When I was first learning about pins, one of the most useful sites is:

Dizpins.com

Spend some time there reading and you will learn a lot. The key is to have fun. Trade for what you want. You cannot callect everything, choose a couple categories.

I collect:
Rides
Disney movies I love
Tinkerbells
Places I stay (example I get a Poly pin when I stay there)

Other Ettiquettes:
1. Ask to look at a CMs lanyard.
2. If trading, be sure put the back on the pin, do not hand over a pin with the pin exposed.

Here is a cool piece of info:
Go to your local Disney store. You can find pins for about $4 (Park pins range from $6 to $14.) Buy several pins from the store to use as traders.

Have fun.

Thanks for the info and the link. I've bought a lot of pins from the NYC Disney store for trading. The pins are Mickey with the NYPD logo, Mickey with the FDNY logo, and Minnie Mouse as the Statue of Liberty. I hope these are good trading pins.

The pins you bought sound very nice. You might also want to
keep checking your Disney Store. Here in the midwest they have been having BIG sales..I have been stocking up each visit buying pins for as cheap as $0.65 EACH. these are official Disney Pins and can be traded! So I won't go broke when the kids want to trade pins. Usually the cheapest pins at WDW are about $6.00-$8.00 each so thats a huge savings, i think i have about 50 pins total set back (but last trip we took 5 kids so thats only 10 each)
