Pin trading - where to start - how to?

Hi all,

I can't seem to find a thread that would explain it all to me.

My DD4 loves to wear pins. Last year, on a Disney Cruise, a CM gave her one of the old Daffy Duck. It was such a nice gesture, now she's hooked.

We are going to WDW in a few weeks. Remembering that moment (and the fact that I,ve had to repair a few dresses from the 'pin holes', I've ordered her a 'starter' kid from a reputed Web site. 25 pins to start. All supposed to be true. I hope they are.

How do I figure it out? How do I know what I should trade and what I shouldn't? Can we just walk up to CM and ask or is there a procedure to follow?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

You got it.....approach any CM'S with pins and trade away....

We buy 50 from ebay every year for the kids to trade with. Never had an issue.

When my sons first started pin trading, we ended up getting them two lanyards each - one for pins they were willing to trade and one for pins they wanted to keep in their collection. They came up with their own ideas for what they wanted to collect and traded to add to their collections. On occasion we bought individual new pins ($), and those went straight to the Keep lanyard.
