Pin Traders BEWARE

Greetings all

Not my normal topic for a thread but I was just told by a fellow Geek Lab employee whos out tonight pin trading at Epcot that security stopped them and said to be very careful where they lay their pin books etc. Over the past couple of days they have had some theft of whole pin books.

Just an FYI and some common knowledge to always be aware of your surroundings.

Also a new Mosaic came out today

Oh well, you wont see me giving any sympathy for the ******. If they aren't responsible enough to watch out for these pins that are worth, well, more than I have at times, Boo-hoo for them.

Whoa, got one of my boys on a new pin....well, you know where you can find me tomorrow.

Oh wait, Indiana comes to DVD tomorrow. DANG IT! And So does the new Star Wars Game! DANG IT! Why does everything have to come out on the same day that Ive been waiting (seriously) nine years to come to light!

Which Star Wars game is out tomorrow? I just finished Jedi Academy for PC. Too short but using either the double edge lightstaff or 2 sabers at once is excellent. If you have not tried it, get it. To enable dismemberment with the saber you need to edit the target of an executible file that is loaded. If you get it and need to know how PM me.

Come on man show a little compasion. How would you feel if someone stole your M:S jacket that you love so much. Some Pin traders are not the most people friendly but still it is an investment of time and money.

To Toad: Its Rebel Strike on GameCube.....attack on the executor...oh yeah baby bring it on. Forest chase on the speeder bikes....*drools* mmmmm, speeder bikes.

To Pass: I'm not stupid enough to leave it lying around without my eye on it (no not literally you fools....though it make people think twice about taking it). That thing is either on me, or Im carrying it over my arm. And when I do lay it down, its normally for lunch, but even then I keep it on the table where I can keep an eye on it. Seriously, I do stuff while still holding onto that jacket out there that could be deemed impossible.

I see your point.. and they should not leave it around!! But I feel so sorry for them... I mean that is so much time and money.... Geezz kinda sucks.. Them kind athings are not supossed to happen n Disnye...

In Jedi Academy you got to ride speeder bikes for a while and it was cool. After finishing that level I went back with god mode on and used my lightsaber instead of the bikes blaster canon. It was very cool, you just would head at someone and decapitate them. Tons of fun.

I gave up on the pin trading....after thousands of dollars for my pins....over 500! I sold them all on eBay this past week. That way when I go next time, I wont be inclined to waste my money on pins...instead, I will buy jewelry!!!! :lol:

I think the warning is a good one for younger kids. The same kids who are probably taken advantage of during trades would probably put their books down. I'd feel sorry for them. I do not collect or trade but that Donald mosaic - man I'd buy that one in a heartbeat! Those mosaics could seriously be the start of an obsession for me. :dazzle:

I don't think most kids have books. I haven't seen but a couple with them. Most either wear them on a lanyard or a hat or something.

I didn't think so either until this past June we were on the bus going to DTD and this kid and his little sister pulled out their books to show my daughter and nephew. Yikes I thought should they be carrying those around. He was probably 12 and she looked 6.
