Pin codes

Is it possible to have two attached to your name? I currently have a summer offer but I see others are getting them for fall/winter free dining that includes POR and FQ.

I get a pin about once every 4 to 6 months. I got one last week for a different free dining offer than what is being offered now.
I believe that's the one I am looking for. I really have my heart set on staying at POR. I even went as far as booking two extra days at CBR but it's not working. Lol

I haven't seen a PIN since early summer of 2010. I got all excited today because I got an email from Disney Destinations that kind of looked like a PIN, but no...no PIN. :(
I didn't even know I had a pin code. They just applied it to my reservation when I called. I never see them in the mail or email. I always get the "come visit us next weekend" mail like really? Let me just drop everything and go. Lol

Typically, does one receive pin codes in the mail after they have a reservation at WDW/DL or are they completely random?
was told that they are random. The latest are being released over a time period. I'm wondering if they are using this offer to slowly book up the resorts that weren't included in the public free dining offer? Just a thought. If you're looking for one it doesn't hurt to call and ask if there's one attached to your name. The cm looked under my name and my husband's unfortunately we had the same summer offer.

PIN codes are one of the mysteries of the world. No one knows how to get on the lists to get them, or what causes you to get them. Some people sign up for everything WDW parks related, DVD, trip quotes, etc. However, since they can be targeted, vs a general discount, there most likely is some method to their madness. They may have determined a guest is more likely to travel during a particular time of year, or to a given resort, or whatever requirement they need to fill.

Personally, being signed up for a trip might lessen the odds of getting a PIN code, as WDW knows they already have your money. But plenty of people do report getting codes after booking a trip, however they seem to frequently be for a different time/resort, which would reflect the targeting, trying to fill their needs.

I've heard things like this from several people...i.e. they never received anything, but when they called, there was one on file for them. I've tried this too...as recently as Sunday. nada :( Oh well.

Okay thank you guys, good information. I do not believe I have ever seen one or really knew of them before joining this forum. I will have to keep an eye out and research a bit more when it comes time for me to reserve our resort in October.

"Unique Offer Code" I was kindly reminded by a Disney vacation staff member when I called the other day. I asked if I had one, no dice!

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm not special enough to get one, since NO CM has ever mentioned it to me.....

As a general rule, reservations CM will only offer what you ask for. If you ask about reservations for AKL, they normally won't take the initiative to quote WL as well. And they definitely usually don't offer up discounts. Even if your trip falls within a general public discount window, typically you need to ask for it. Wouldn't be surprised to hear them start doing the extra quotes since people are used to seeing options from online sites though.

I used to get these PIN offers 3 or 3 times a year. Haven't gotten one in a couple years now. Wondering if it's because I came once on business and didn't need to use the PIN offer they gave me.
