Pin codes?

I heard a rumor that Disney had started releasing pin codes for fall dates. Has anyone else heard anything about or has anyone gotten one?

They usually start mailing them out in early to mid April, and then the public is able to get it in early May. At least that's the way it's been for awhile now.

What are these pin codes you speak of????
They are a discount code tied to an individual.

How to get one is still a bit of an enigma. The general thought is to make sure Disney knows you exist by making an online account on the official site, ordering a vacation planing DVD, etc. It is also been suggested that planing a sample trip for the dates you want to travel online, save it, but not booking it might trigger a PIN code.

After all that, all you can do is wait and hope.

I got a mailer yesterday for code ULD, which is no discount at all. It was timed with my exact dates for our next trip in September, but was about $300 more expensive than I am paying on the Memory Maker Promotion. Hoping for a Free Dining Pin here soon!!!

I've gotten 2 in the past 3 months and it's just making me angry because we can't plan a trip right now, but they're such good deals. I'm convinced that when we can go, no pin will be had:(.

We got our pin code back in October and had to book by mid-February. Scored at least off 35% a 2-bedroom Villa at Beach Club. One of the best deals I've ever gotten. It actually came to my mother-in-law's email- she booked a trip along side one of ours about 12 years ago, she gets the pins all the time, DW and I never do... So we just book through her and pay with our own money.

So we're planning (YES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT!) going late May 2015 as soon as my son is out of school.
This year Disney had the spring vacation deal with the Dining Plans all at the same price (quick dining plan)...how likely is that to happen again based on historical information? This was the first time I saw it...

I've tried everything and have never gotten a PIN code. I have an account, I have saved future trips, I have ordered the planning CD and have made the custom maps. Been doing it for 4 years and never have I received a PIN code. I get lots of other trash emails from them though.

I hear ya. I've done everything, too. All I ever get are the postcards from WDW that look like a discount offer -- but then when you actually pull it up online, all they're offering is rack rate (or a pre-existing discount that is already open to the public). :(

Don't feel too bad. I have been on their radar since the mid 90's, been an AP holder for 13 years and have never received a PIN.

That is what happend to me..Apparently when I got my planner DVD in the Mail I found I had a second piece of mail from Disney featuring the characters on a board game which opens up to reveal....Tadaa! A deal for November for the month I was looking at..The deal on my flyer shows rooms for Example.. A value resort for $118 for most Sun-Thursday stays 11/1/14 - 11/21/14 & 11/29/14 - 11/30/14 (I found that one strange as it's just one night).

Do the PIN codes work so that the deal on your first day is carried throughout your whole stay? In other words if you booked on 11/30 and stayed a week, would you get the discount the whole time?

No it's only used on the Dates Selected...Say you do a Sunday-Saturday trip you'd get the discount on the Sun-Thursday and Fri & Saturday you pay full price.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Offers like free dining will typically go for your entire stay. As long as your check in day is within the offer dates you are good to go.

Room discounts can go either way. I have seen them extend past the dates and I have seen them cut off. The only way to know fr sure is call and check.

Can the pin holder use a code for two rooms? I received one pin code for this spring but am unable to use it. I'm hoping another comes along for the fall when we are trying to see if a trip with the in laws is feasible. (previous thread - party of 5 two rooms otherwise divorced or disowned)
