Pin Authenticity questions?

Hi all!
I am new to the whole Disney Pin trading and collecting world and have caught the "bug" shall we say. I'm preparing myself for trading on my next trip by going on Ebay and purchasing lots and grab bags to do so.
I have some concerns and questions that I hope you all could answer for me.

How do I identify a pin when it's not marked with the Official Pin Trading symbol, What is it? as in Sedesma, Pro Pin, Euro?
What should I look out for? Markings, backings, etc. etc.?

If I end up with one of these Brands pins, Am I able to trade them? or did I just waste my money.
Has Disney ever given away Limited Edition pins that are unmarked? or is this a crock?

All Disney pins should have a backstamp of some kind. Ones that don't are usually fakes.

Thanks! Outside of the Disney Pins how do I identify other brands? are they worth anything, would or do people trade these?
I purchased two pins that turned out not to be not "Disney Pins" and now I feel I should just toss them to the way side and look for two new pins to replace them.
I'm very particular with anything I collect or purchase (I do not buy fakes as in Designer Brands) so I'm debating the trash or returning these pins, any info would be great!
