picture this...every year since you were born you have been to disneyworld at least once. Now that your a teenager you know the parks inside and out, can recal hidden mickeys at the top of your head and can answer anyones questions about disney information. Now that your planning to go back for another year how do you create the magic again? What new things can you experience and how can you make the visit just as magical as the other ones.? any suggestions, tips, ideas would be great. thanks

Sounds like the story of my life:lol:

i know what u mean......but for me RRC doesn't get old..its still as magical as the first time I road it......

We tried new things.....like mini golf....and explored the resorts.....enjoyed the different restuarants...and took it slow........

WDW may not be as new as the first time you were there......but its just as magical no matter how many times you go!

Exploring the resorts is a good one. Also, just hanging around the parks, taking in the atmosphere without rushing to attractions. And of course, character interaction, or maybe even a good chat with a CM. :D

Hehe, I agree.. I'm going down for my 17th trip (I just turned Seventeen in april) so I try to do something new every time.. This time I'm taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour for MGM (last time i took it for MK) and the Fireworks cruises are great and magical and private. Umm, resort pool hopping (not technically allowed but they dont mind), resort restaraunt hopping. And for the first time im Scuba Diving in the living seas... you should get ur certification and do that! That makes it memorable.. or even surfing lessons at typhoon lagoon... Plus doing ur normal traditions would make for a special trip that stands out I'm pretty sure.

Sounds like my life too! The magic is always there...every trip is the same, but different too. I'm twenty-one now and my first trip was when I was three and seeing Mickey still makes me :D. At this point I can't imagine missing a year, there's almost always something different to do. Talking to the CMs is something really cool to do, they've got great stories. Walking down Main Street holding your parents hands like you did when you were a kid is kinda cool too. It sounds weird I know, but being there with your entire family is what it's all about!

I'm 33 and have gone every year WDW has been open. If you really want to rekindle the magic. Take your own children there. It was like I was 10 yrs old again. Of course this may be difficult if you don't have kids of your own. Try taking a niece or nephew or cousin that has never been.

I've run into this myself and there's always something to do. It just takes a bit of imagination. Last year I explored the path that runs between the WL and Ft. Wil. It was great. Walking in the morning there was all sorts of fawna about and lots of hidden glades to see. On the way back, I veered off the paved path and onto a dirt bike trail. It led down to the lake by the bike rental kiosk at the WL. Instead of going toward the WL, I went to the right and there was all sorts of old tractors and stuff down there. Who'd have thought? Another thing is to treat yourself to a snack somewhere you've never been. I plan on trying the "Kitchen Sink" at Beaches and Cream this time around. Good luck :)

Just like a bunch of other people have suggested... don't worry about the rides and attractions so much... I'm sure you've done them all before... this time, take time to admire the little things... stop, and smell the roses... (which, by the way, smell REALLY nice...)

Explore the resorts... some of them are quite beautiful... some that I'd recommend: Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club, Port Orleans, Old Key West, Caribbean Beach, Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge... okay... so pretty much ALL of them... lol...

Speaking of which... check out Fort Wilderness... they have a lot of activities going on over there that might interest you... they have horseback riding, bike trails, walking trails, Mickey's Backyard BBQ... they also have outdoor movies that they show... lots of things going on back there!

I agree with the other messages.

Especially about going with someone who hasn't been there before. For the third time I went, I was in highschool, but we went with my mom's friend and her daughter (who was 3 years younger than me). It was just fun being able to share the experience with them for the first time.

We always made it a tradition to visit all the hotels, especially the ones on the monorail route since it is so easy. The first time I was there we stayed off-site (1988), and it wasn't nearly the same. Staying on site (Poly 1991, Port 1996) was so much better, because we were so encapsulated by the entire experience. Just walking around the resort was fun. We rented bikes at Dixie and rode around, we also saw the electrical water pagaent (I don't know if they still have it, it is a quite simple show compared to Illuminations but nice to see nonetheless).

Anyway, going there every year is hard to imagine. Try not to go there so much!

I know what you mean. I still love going to WDW, but yeah, it's not the same as when I was a kid. Doesn't really matter though, it's still as magical as when I first went.

Now that I'm older though, I take more time going around the park and shopping in stores(not that @ 23 I'm slowing down...it'll be a long time before that =P ), but park hopping takes a lot out of me so I don't mind spending an extra minute here or there.
