Does anyone know what the pricing is going to be on the dine-in theaters? I'm excited, but if they're overcharging (well, it's disney so i know they'll overcharge, but i mean REALLY over charging) It won't be worth my time...

it's suppossed to be around $15.00 a ticket, but some of it goes toward the food. Not exactly sure how much premium over a standard ticket though

I have to say... I'm really liking the idea of anyone under 18 requiring supervision. Might give the place a lot less of a mall feel. :-)

This makes me think the West End might have a different aesthetic than Hyperion Wharf. This new signage looks much more 1950's or 1960's to me.

Thanks for the pictures.

We have something similar in Richmond, called CineBistro. It was nice, but a little pricy. The food order is separate from the ticket to get it. The seats all had a table in front of them, kind of like an oversized high school desk, with much more comfortable seats.

Except that it is the same signage being used across the country.

This sort of thing is new to me. You eat in the theater while the movie is playing? Doesn't that get noisy?

Not too much so. Only really when someone is trying to get that last bit of soda out of an empty glass with their straw. At least that's been my experience at similar places.

We have a small chain around here that does this, and it's nice. You obviously get a lot more room in a big comfy chair at a table than a row of seats (the chain near me uses extra limosine seats mounted on bases).

The chain food is OK (a lot of microwave prep) and the prices more than I'd pay if I just walked in some place, but with the expense of movies in general it's really not that much more so we just go ahead and do it since we so rarely go to the movies. Plus, for us, tickets are far cheaper (usually $5-6) since most people buy food, and they run a lot of "free" ticket deals if you come and eat.

All that said, with the price of extra days on Park Hoppers so cheap after 3 days (and certainly less than a movie ticket) I just don't see the point of going there on vacation. I can do it at home, but I can't go to a park. But that's just because of how I view going to Disney - try to get as much in as possible that I can't get at home. In the "old" days, when you had an arrival/departure day where I might not have bought full day tickets, I used to think about it - but now, spending three hours eating and watching a movie just like I could around here just seems like an awful waste of my time.

If you take a look at AMC's website, you can see the menu and prices (http://www.moviewatcher.com/). They're actually NOT inflated Disney prices, I was shocked! The food (and pricing) is very TGIFridays-esque. Nothing special, but a nice added touch. Pizzettas (flatbread pizzas) run 8-11 bucks, appetizers run from 6-10 bucks, burgers were 8-11 (with fries), and my favorite, the Thai Coconut Chicken Tenders (w/fries) were 11.99. Fountain drinks were either 2.79 or 3.79, i forget, but if you find the menu on AMC's website, those are the prices, they weren't inflated.

Went and saw a movie on Thurs and again on Sat. Love the high-back leather seats and the call button for service. If I remember correctly, and I could have it wrong, tickets were a few dollars more (call it $15 bucks), but you also get a $5 F&B credit.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. How is the food?

If you like TGIFridays/BeefOBradys/Chilis kind of food, you'll enjoy this. I will say nothing was spectacular, it was all ok-to-good. Nothing I had was bad, but nothing wowed me either. Just decent American Bar/Grill kind of food. But I'm not complaining, I think when you consider the pricing, it's actually a good value, especially when considering it's at DTD.
