I agree, the outside should be left as it is. The Sonny Eclipse area is the one that needs to be renovated. I can't believe that area lasted this long, maybe it will even outlive the 70's version of this joint.

I haven’t heard anything about enclosing the outside patios but Cosmic Rays has been getting some love as of recently. Back in september there was some menu changes, in December we got TV’s displaying the menu above the counter’s, instead of the old signs, and the new broiler was finally set up a few weeks ago.
The new condiment bar should be opening in less than 2 weeks. And i believe even Sonny Eclipse has a new vest (or at least that was the word from some of the people that work dining room).

I was there a couple weeks ago and noticed the vest... thought maybe it was just my imagination! Now I know it was not!!!
Sonny Eclipse is awesome... though they could add MORE to the show (without removing any of the existing show!) staying 100% within the voice, theme, and music of the original.
That certainly seems to match up with what is happening.
