Just my opinion, but Storybook Circus looks really good. The theming all came together really nice and the seating area is much, much needed. The whole area really flows now that we can see all of it. I know many do not like this area so I may be in the minority, but it's a nice addition in my opinion.

I agree that the tent is much ado about nothing, but the courtyard area is beautiful. On a comfortable day, it looks like a wonderful, relaxing place to take a load off for awhile. Love the theming of the food carts, too.

I'm sorry, CircusLand is a joke. After enjoying the water play area, I was really looking forward to seeing what else would be coming. These new areas are completely underwhelming.
Really? I think since we knew these tents would merely hold souvenir, what we ended up getting was a little better than we thought. I think it looks really nice. Especially Big Top.

The Fast Pass area is a little lacking though.

Well, the yellow tent is 30% of what was yet to be unveiled, so you're already down there. They couldn't even pony up to the bar to put some animatronics in either the Souvineers tent or the yellow one!!! Heck, there isn't even anything in the ticket booth out front!!

Just because it's a souvineer tent doesn't mean it can't have some plusses here and there. The Seussland tent at Uni is a perfect example of doing it right. This is simply cheap and lazy.

And think too, in this same space before we had the souvineer tent, the meet and greet tent, Mickey's House, Minnie's House and Donald's boat.

A tent to get FastPasses and 3 benches!!! WoooHOOO!!!! I'm booking a Disney vacation right now!!!!

What exactly did you expect in the tent? You seem really disappointed but I don't remember this ever being discussed as anything major. Just curious.

A few weeks ago I know Disney Entertainment was holding auditions for circus style variety acts. Maybe the reason the tent is so sparse (and I have to admit, it looks really blah compared to the rest of the area -- I was there this morning and was really disappointed in it) is because this will be where these shows will be taking place and they needed the space to be left pretty empty?
 I don't know -- I am grasping at straws. I thought the area inside the tent looked like someone's garage. Stark is the word that comes to mind.

Again, why on Earth were you expecting animatronics in a store?? Your own ridiculous expectations set you up for disappointment.

The whole Storybook Circus area is incredibly themed and richly detailed. It is certainly worlds better than the 20+ year old "temporary" land that it replaced. To say otherwise is honestly ludicrous and reeks of desperation to complain about anything that Disney does in Florida.

I'm assuming that I already know the answer to this, but have you actually been to and explored the area?

Your expectations are entirely too low. If you're happy with a shop in a tent, a meet and greet tent, and a tent with a few benches and a couple of Fastpass kiosks and consider that "incredibly themed and richly detailed" then I'm ecstatic for you.

As for animatronics, once again, this is Disney. It isn't expecting too much at all. Heck, go to any Disney Store and you'll see figures all over the place - the new ones even include interactive elements.

Besides, simply look at Universal down I-4. They have the Seussland tent and oh my gosh, animatronic characters doing a tightrope act! Shocking!! Too bad, according to you, that's expecting entirely too much of Disney...

I really, really hope you're right. With TDO seemingly trying to save money with fewer characters, I would think that's unlikely but we can hold out hope.

I have yet to say anything bad about New Fantasyland, I've even defended it. There is no defending the yellow tent in my opinion. I want to believe that there is something behind that large banner, if you look at the bottom you can see behind the banner is some sort of wall painted. Disney has to have something in mind for that Tent, because to me it just looks unfinished.

Yes, because those three things make up the entirety of the new area. I completely forgot they tore out the rest of the work they had done. You're impossible.

I've worked in two Disney stores. Neither of them had animatronics. Yes, they had cheapish stationary fiberglass figures... About that you are correct. I can imagine the commentary on here if anything like that had been present in Big Top Souvenirs.

As for Universal, they have stationary figures that move back and forth on trapezes and such (no elaborate animatronic tightrope act in sight) in Circus McGurkus' Cafe Stoo-pendous (which is an eatery and not a store, but now I suppose I'm just being facetious) over the tables. They also tend to not work and are not by any means animatronics.

I really think you're using that word wrong. You've brought up two specific examples of stationary figurines as reasons why there should be animatronics inside Big Top. Guess I'm still just not following your logic.
