PhotoPass Plus Question

We booked a trip to Disneyland Resorts in March 11-15. We are planning to get the PhotoPass Plus. I understand that we will only get a voucher in the mail, so where are we going to pick up the actual card? The reason that I'm asking is we would be going to DCA on the 3/12 which will be our first day. With the advantage of magic hour, of course we want to go straight to RSR instead of figuring out how to pick up the card. So is the photopass plus can be picked up at any locations other than inside the park which we can get the day before? Or even without the actual card going into RSR, we can still have our ride picture added later?

There is no pick-up outside the parks. You can pick up the card at Kingswell Camera shop on Buena Vista Street. When you get off RSR, just write down or take a picture of your picture number. Then after you get the card later in the morning, go back and have them add that picture. If you aren't actually riding RSR again that day, you can walk up the exit to get to the photo area.

Thank you for the reply.
So what would be your recommendation? Is it take long to redeem the photo card plus? Or I should run straight to the RSR nd go back to the photo area later after I get the card? Sorry, this is our first time taking the kids to DLR, so we just don't know what to expect. That last time I was there is 1990. It's such a long time ago.

Oh, I was thinking did anyone know if the shops are open between the time they let you in and the rope drop. If so, I guess I can pick up the card easily at the shop and not wasting any early magic hour time. Thanks.

If you are a Disney resort guest and are using EMH, I'd recommend rope dropping RSR, then doing whatever other things you want for the remainder of EMH. Get your first Fastpass at park opening (for RSR or otherwise), and then pick up the Photopass+ card. Be sure you have the number from your photo, and go back later that morning to have them put the photo on your card.

If you don't have access to EMH and are just doing a regular park opening, I'd recommend spending the first hour doing rides before stopping for the card.

If no one else is in the camera shop, the process takes a few minutes. If you have to wait in a line, that just adds to the process. They have to scan your voucher, cash you out a receipt, then give you the PP+ card, punch in the expiration, explain it, so it isn't a quick in and out.

Thanks for you reply AmongMadPeople. :) I think you're right. I should go straight to RSR at rope drop, then come back to get the PhotoPass+ card later, so I won't waste any time.
