This is probably a year away at the earliest (gotta love building capital just to make it possible).. but considering what my options are will help plan..

What services are available for taking pictures of my proposal?

Looking at maybe doing it on Sunset Point @ the Poly if I can do it.. obviously there are other ideas too at this point.. but thats my main idea..

Its very expensive... they cant do a proposal seperate from engagement photos so the packages start at 475 dollars, this includes a 30min session for your proposal and then a seperate hour for your engagement photos. You receive a photo CD of your proposal shots but a CD is NOT included for the engagemeng photos... extra mulah for that.

Yeah I looked into it more last night and saw the exact thing.. So thank you for confirming it.

My new plan is just to take my camera with a tripod for the actual proposal.. then see if she wants to do the disney pictures after that..

here's a compromise.. preorder a photopass CD and one night after your proposal you can both get dressed up and just hit up every photopass staff member you see. They are not the best, trust me...(well, I say that as I am a photo buff) but its better than 5 beans.

Another spectacular (and money saving) Idea!!!!

gosh this could be a lot easier than I thought it would be.

thats what I ended up doing... I proposed in an intimate setting, it was just the two of us on the beach. Then the next night, we just threw on nice clothes and hit up epcot at night and had every photo person shoot us... wear "just engaged" pins and you get extra and more creative shots. For 100 bucks... I walked away with 255 photos over a 6 day span. Thats .39 cents a shot, as opposed to 14.95 for 2 prints.

The other proposal related question is..

How easy is it to have like a gift basket delivered to the room and if I can put a time in the day to be delivered or just have orders to be picked up at the front desk..?

Disneyflorists can easily get baskets delivered to the room. Not sure if you can specify a time in the day or not.

However, one thing to keep in mind while planning, if there is any note anywhere on your reservations, a CM may accidentally spill the beans. This would apply to a basket delivery as well. If you are going to be at the parks all day long, then it shouldn't be a problem. But if you are possibly going to the room to change or something else, and they delivered it early it would ruin the surprise. Just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Also, going back to your original question it partially depends on when you are planning to do it. You can book a private session with a photopass photographer at the Poly. I believe you get about half an hour for like $50 which includes some prints. CD is available, but for an extra cost. But they only do this from like 8-5. So if you were planning on fireworks or sunset, usually a no-go. But you should be able to book a session with them during the day, and then surprise her with the question. Most PP will keep on shooting during that moment. BUT, remember that the PP are not all professionals, so the photos may be better if you go with the professional package through the wedding/events group. You can get more info on the private photopass sessions at http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/

Thats my main worry about doing anything with ordering something for the room later in the evening.. I would be doing this the first day down..

basically.. arrive/check in.. late morning

go to epcot for a few hours..

ride monorail-transfer to hotel loop.. stop at Poly..

make sure nothing is going on at sunset point.. if thats clear.. propose..

then go to MK for rest of the afternoon.. also have ADR..

---

I'd really like to just have at least something in the room for the evening.. but I'm beginning to wonder if its worth it to chance a slip up and just go normal..

---

Im probably just gonna roll with photopass pictures throughout the trip.. whether they are perfectly pro quality or not.. They are better than most people are..

For the actual proposal Im gonna have my own camera and tripod set up for the moment.

This is what I did, and I asked for a Disney Photopass photographer and they said it was no problem. I did do this in the park so that would make a difference. I am well ummm also older... so I had my son and his family to take pictures too.
