photo pass vs photo pass + jedi training academy

We always get photopass before going to Disney. One year our oldest son did the Jedi Training academy and we got 14 pictures of him fighting Vader that were priceless!

Does anyone know if the photos taken at the Jedi Training Academy are still included in the regular photo pass or do we now have to updgrade to a photo pass +? Our youngest is now old enough to participate so we don't want to miss those pix!

Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure, so hopefully someone can verify this, but I was under the impression that it was still available with the regular PhotoPass and the photographer just hands out PP cards at the end of the session and you add it to your account and delete the photos that aren't your child.

Now that you say that I do recall them passing out the cards after the session. It's been 4 years since we've done it I had forgotten. Thanks!

We did it a few weeks ago - now they give you a card before the show and it will have all pics taken during your kids' show. You can take it to a photopass booth and they will transfer just your kids to a photopass card so you don't have a hundred pictures of other people's kids. Works out perfectly!!

I'm so glad they will help you get just your pictures. We will be at DHS in 12 days and are hoping to do this and I was worried about getting home and having to sort through them all!

Not sure if you already looked into Jedi training since you last participated but here are a few tips:

- Get there early - they sign kids up in the order they arrive at the old Sounds Dangerous location. There are 15 kids to a show and once the first time slot is filled, they move on to the next slot, etc. It's not going to be a busy week so if you are planning to spend the entire day at DHS you shouldn't have an issue getting in, but if you have a lunch reservation elsewhere you would want to try for one of the earlier shows.

- Your child must be with you to sign up.

They will transfer the photopass pictures to your own card at any location but I've always found that Cover Story (on the left on your way out of the park) is quick and convenient. Just don't do what I did - I had taken pictures of all my photopass cards in case I lost them and then made sure I had them all added to my photopass account when I got home. I accidentally added the one from JTA so I ended up with pictures of other people's kids anyway!!

Thanks for the tips. We did this last October with our two older kids. I am going with my 4 year old this time, so he is finally old enough to participate. Our plan is to go immediately to the sign-ups even though we will be in the park all daybecause he would "die" if he didn't get to participate!!
