Does anyone know if Disney has any objections to photos being taken in their stores, candy shops, etc?

I don't think so....me, and my two friends have pictures trying on different hats, so if they didnt say anything to three teenagers, i dont think they care, that or, they didnt notice...

And where are the places you can't take pictures? I'm intrigued! Unless you just mean inside some of the rides. My sis took a picture at the top of the drop in ToT when the doors open, great view of MGM, the funny thing was, the ride took her picture holding her camera at the same time! Needless to say we snuck out of there pretty quick!

I've got tons of pics from the Villains in Vouge store at MGM. I don't think they care...but they might if you start taking pictures of people's feet...

I don't think they care about taking picture in stores. We have a picture of my grandpa trying on a Mad Hatter's hat in one of the stores. Funny thing was he looked just like the Mad Hatter considering what he as wearing!

Yes I was talking about the rides and other attractions. Most rides it is OK as long as you use no external light. And whatever you do do not take pictures in the Animation Building. If you do they will lock you in It's a Small World for eternity.

well, they certainly don't care for people video taping in stores (my dad has done it several times so then he can say he 'owns' everything that he video tapes and he doesn't have to buy it...that's my dad for ya!) so i'm assuming that photographs are ok as well! which i've taken a pic inside the big Disney store at DTD MP...but it was of some snowmen they had in there as Christmas decorations, and was not of merchandise. but still, i think they'd be ok with it.

as for rides, i tried taking a pic in PotC with my parents' camera, which i was just learning how to use. i was trying to push the no flash button, but instead was pushing the timer button  i wanna say that i left it on long enough that it flashed, but i'm not really sure...either way, no one said anything to me! but it's so easy to get away with video taping inside rides and shows that you're not supposed to....like my dad has recorded American Adventure several times! all he did was take a piece of black tape and stuck it over the little red light that came on when the camera was on. but shhh! don't tell anyone that! ;)

As far as videotaping, we have video tape of most of the major attractions at MK (including Space Mountain with the lights on), MGM, AK and EPCOT. As posted in a different thread, don't let Disney develop the film. If they see something that they don't want you to have pictures of, you won't get the pictures back. I don't remember the thread but the writer said they had photos of Space with light on, took the film to Disney photo place and didn't get any pictures back. I believe they were told the pictures didn't come out. If you must have the pictures before returning home. there are plenty of places off property to have your film developed.
