yep- the last week of June and ALL of July are not discounted :(. I have ALWAYS gotten a PH discount.

Portofino Bay is discounted. I really wanted to stay at Hard Rock, but with the PH rate, it's $600 less to stay at Portofino. I'd be crazy to pass that up. On the phone right now cancelling and rebooking. Oh well - Portofino is the only hotel on-site I haven't stayed at. Something new I suppose.:)

Wow- PBR is cheaper than RP! By A LOT! I really don't want to stay there, we stayed when it first opened and had such a terrible time they gave us a week free plus park tickets- that trip was no better. It WAS 12-13 years ago so I imagine they got it together now, but I'm not one for third chances ;) I wonder why PBR is the only one discounted for July:confused:

I have a feeling that even though it's the flagship hotel, PBR has the lowest bookings. RP is the cheapest (and I think nicest), and HR is the closest. I've only read good things about it, and since it's run by Loews, I can't imagine it not being good. And to be honest, I much prefer the look of the rooms over the HR. I just don't care for the location and the pool at Hard Rock is better. Just have to keep an eye open for HR discount and might have to make yet another change.

We don't care much for Italian food, I guess that's another reason PBR doesn't appeal to me. I think I'm going to hold out and wait for HRH or RP- I was hoping for RP since we've never been there and it's an Adults Only trip for our anniversary. Like you, my heart belongs to HRH- I have nothing bad to say about it ever (except once a squirrel stole my almonds from the cabana)

Actually, my heart belongs to RPR. We stayed at HRH and liked it. The pool was great. But RPR is our home resort. It is absolutely gorgeous. The walk to the parks is beautiful, the resort is lovely, and the theme can't be beat. Awesome service there as well. We just decided to stay someplace the kids haven't stayed at yet.
