PGA TOUR in October

I don't know if there is a thread for this, I couldn't find it. But, years ago when I was about 12, my family went in the Fall when the PGA Tour was in Disney World. I will be in WDW from the 16th to the 20th, go to Cruise 20th to 23rd, then come back to WDW for a few more days. Now that week from around the 18th to the 23rd, the PGA is in town, does it still bring in a HUGE crowd? I remember it being very busy that week. Does most of the crowd arrive later in the week when the actual Event starts on Thursday? Or is it all week? I know that's why they blocked out the Free Dining that week. I figured there would be a decent crowd for some fans who will just take their week vacation, then I figured MOST of the people will arrive for the weekend, which is nice because it won't affect our trip too much, because we will be on the cruise for the Weekend.

I'm only questioning because if it is supposed to be really busy, I am a little shocked at how easy it is to get a Dining Reservation virtually at almost ANY Restaurant. I just checked once more tonight, just to browse and I was able to find reservations at all the popular places. Just 2 weeks ago, we were able to get Breakfast at Cinderellas Royal Table, which I thought was impossible, especially this late

Well, I think that the resorts may be booked more than anything. The reason I say this is my mom is going that same week. Free Dining was blacked out that week, there are no discounts. My mom called WDW to see if she had a pin code. She did, but it is not valid that week either. The discount pretty much followed the Free Dining dates.

So, the parks may not be as crowded, but the resorts may be. That is about all I can offer.
