I am planning a trip down to the world and I was thinking about getting my b/f just the 3 laps as a Christmas present. (b/c I can't afford anything else!). I was wondering about how long will it take to go around the track 3 times? Thanks for the help!

Well, see the thing is that my b/f really likes racing. He's not so much a golf guy...otherwise I would so be on that. But I wanted to give him an experience that he wouldn't forget and I can't afford the higher driving experiences, so I thought that at least he would get to see what it was like. I know it's not the best use of money, but it is a Christmas present...do you guys think the whole ordeal (ie. getting there, getting ready, driving in the car, etc) will take about an hour? I know that the time around the track will take about 3 min. (or less) Any feedback or other ideas on what would make a good present would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

If that is what he really likes, maybe try to do it at a different (bigger track). That way it will take longer, and he will go faster. What about an evening at Victoria & Alberts? I would love my wife to give an evening there at the chef's table again.

My husband did the riding experience and being a true racefan loved it! After about the 2 minute ride, I thought he would be disappointed, but he wasn't.

I'm sure the track time is short but I think it would take at least 1 hr maybe 2hrs. I am a huge nascar fan a would love this. There a also places to see and get your picture with a race car. You can even have a meal at a race themed restraunt...

As a race fan, I would love that. Sure it might not be a long ride, just climbing in the window and hearing the motor would be just fine with me. I hope you enjoy it. Go for it!!!!! :xmas: :king:

Sounds like a great present! As a huge NASCAR fan, I can say that he'll love it (if he's a fan, which you said he is). I've never done it because I can't afford it, but it's definitely on my to do list at some point in my life. Yes, you can do it at bigger tracks like Daytona, but I think the WDW Speedway would be a great place. It's a combination of my two loves: racing and WDW. It would be an amazing gift that I'm sure he'll treasure forever. Enjoy yourselves!

Is that open to people who don't do the driving experience? I've never heard of that restraunt, but would love to eat there. I've eaten at both Race Rock and NASCAR Cafe and would love to try a "new" race themed restraunt.

I'm not a race fan, but my wife has done similar stuff for me in the past. Regardless of how long the experience is, if he is into it, it will be worth it.
