Petty Driving

Hi We leaving for Dinsey on Saturday, this year we decided no rental car because we really dont use except abck and forth to the airport the rest the time it sits, so we going to do Mears shuttle, well last night my husband told me he won Petty Driving tickets from some contest they had at his work, with no car how do we get to the race cars? we staying at the polynesian will a cab take you to that? how much would it cost (ballpark idea)

If we cant figure out what to do, we can use this ticket at any the petty race tracks. so it not going to go to waste if we dont do it but one those hopefully we can type of deals

Congrats on the Petty tickets win! I'm jealous. All you have to do is walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center, they pick you up in a van next to the Kennels.

That is so cool. Congratulations. Guest Relations at the Poly should be able to point you in the right direction. But I think there is a shuttle available from somewhere in the TTC and I am sure there is no additional cost.

That's exactly what we did three years ago when my husdand did the riding experience. However, check with guest relations to be sure that nothing has changed.

The track is very close to the Poly. Just the other side of the MK parking lot.

When I was down in June I had a rental car. They gave me a Red Ford Mustang Convertable. I was leaving MK and drove past the Petty Driving Experience. There was a side road that went right off the main road I was on and to a gate that was wide open. The gate lead straight onto the track. I was soooooooo tempted to drive onto the track and just gun the engine, but I knew I would get in serious trouble for it so I didn't. The temptation was there, though... :goodnevil

Wow congratulations! Sounds amazing. I'd give anything to experience the Richard Petty Driving Experience. The only thing keeping me from this is the cost factor. I just can't afford it (maybe when I graduate with a real degree and get a real job, I'll be able to do it.) Racing is awesome!

We go to the track everytime we visit. The van regularly comes to the TTC, you cannot miss it. I believe it is a chevy, but it says Richard Petty Driving Experience on the door. The van drivers have always been super nice and it is a comfortable, short, free ride. Have a great time!

the richard petty driving experience is awesome. I haven't done it at Disney but I have done the ride along at Lowes Motor Speedway twice and my dad did the driving experience. Its sooo much fun. My dad used to race at a local short track and he would take me for rides all the time but 165 mph in a Nextel Cup car is awesome!
