Peter Tork dies

Peter Tork of the Monkees has died. I was a Monkees fan and used to get a kick out of the sheer silliness of the TV show.
One of my favorite Monkees songs was not as popular as Last Train to Clarksville, Daydream Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, and I'm a Believer, but for some reason I like this one:

Just noticed Michael Nesmith introduced the song wrong...oh well!
And Peter earns the attention of the girl in this video instead of Davy so it is fitting today.

This was my favorite Monkey's song and today for multiple reasons it is probably more relevant then it was when it was recorded long ago.

I got a chance to meet Peter Tork way back in 2002. He was - preoccupied. But he was nice enough to sign a scrap of paper for me. Sad to see him go.
