peter pan dvd problem`

We have had problems playing my peter pan special edition dvd. It loads fine up until I push the Play Button on the main menu. IT just turns black and doesn't continue. My dad complained and we got a second DVD but it didn't work either...It plays on my other dvd player...so i'm guessing it's the actual player.

It's my dad's fav. Disney movie and he can't watch it ...any suggestions ?

Is it a really old DVD player or really cheap. I have a first generation DVD player and one of the 29$ ones on our secondary TVs and both tend to have problems with certain DVDs every once in a while. We have a nice Sony for the main TV and have never had a problem.

it's a cheaply priced one ..maybe a year or two old.. it's funny how only one dvd doesn't work.
