People watching location...

Ok, I know some will scoff at the idea of wasting park time people watching, but for us, an older, childless couple, it can be fun to see how people react and see the smiles on the faces of little ones, and big ones for that matter.
One of our favorite spots for this is the "Partners" statue at the hub in MK.
It is a good place to see the excitement and joy on the faces of families posing with Walt and Mickey, especially early in the morning. While many are rushing to get to their favorite ride before the crowd gets there, in our no longer rushing mode, those special smiles are a great way to start the day.
Do you have a special people watching spot or do you think it is a waste of time?

We love to people watch as well. For us it's typically from a smoking area (DH is a smoker). One of my favorites is the spot over behind Aloha Isle as people filter into Adventureland from the hub. Another great one (oddly) is the Tomorrowland one... the reasons for this one change based on time of day. In the early day it's fun to watch folks coming/going from CoP and running to/from SM. At night it's a great place to watch the Club 626 Dance Party which... while I think is a waste of space (whole other topic I know) can be pretty entertaining to watch while your hubby is taking a smoke break. :D

I don't consider myself "old" (36) and I LOVE to people watch- it's so entertaining!
MK- TTA or the rocking chairs on TSI
Epcot at the tables near the African Outpost, the bridge between UK and France, The water feature at the American Pavilion
DAK Second story of Yak and Yeti- looking out the window, the benches on the trails leading to Dinosaur
DHS- The Backlot near the giant bottles of coke, Tables by the lake next to Min and Bill's Dockside Diner
DTD- Second level balcony at Splitsville, Outside seating/bar area at Raglan Road, Ghiradelli Soda Fountain.
Just relaxing at the pool is also fun, but the best spot we've had to people watch is the balcony overlooking the Boardwalk- 3rd floor over the bakery!

We sit on the balcony of the train station in MK before MSEP and people watch! But I'm pretty I enjoy people watching on the beach more than WDW (I don't pay thousands of dollars to go to the beach :p) But it is fun!

I like to people watch all of the time.
  • Main Street - Bakery - watching what choices people make.
  • Adventureland - Pirate Stage.
  • Frontierland - Rocking chair is a good one but I also like the bridge because you can watch people get soaked on splash and also watch the people watching those people getting wet on splash. Everyone is smiling and laughing no matter if they are on the ride or not.
  • Liberty Square - picking out the new riders to Haunted Mansion and seeing the fear in the stretch room.
  • Fantasyland - Dumbo tent queue.
  • Tomorrowland - walkway between the raceway and cosmic rays. Warning don't sit under the trees - birds like to give guests their own souvieneers there. Saw 2 people get "hit" and my son was almost #3.

you need to thank them- they make life interesting and entertaining :D Wouldn't that be hilarious? Just walk up to some wackadoo and shake their hand and say "thank you- you made my day"! They would be confused about it forever :D
I once walked up to someone at WDW who had done something absolutely hilarious and told them that I just had to say they cracked me up. They looked at me like I was insane. In that instant I realized... I was the wackadoo. :)
