What are some of the people or things in Walt Disney World that you love!

I love the smell of the Contemporary.

I love how every CM is smiling

I love how I can forget my worries for a week and be a kid again!

What about you?..........

Heading for the great escape.
The tolerant and friendly way guests respond to each other no matter their differences, whether it be it speed around the park ,level of noise , age, size or smell. And how they can all wait patiently in line chatting merrily and swapping stories with nairly a gripe.

AAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

This is a hard one, but I'll try...

For us, Internationals, the relationship with WDW is even harder. Maria, Tati, 2Much and many others will atest to what I'm saying. On my first visit, I was 11. This was in July 1990. Needless to say, I had very basic English skills. I did enjoy the parks wonderfully, catching in as much as I could from sights, sounds, smells, feelings, and the explanations our tour guide would give us. Still, there were no differences between WDW and Universal, for example, which was in its first year (no Back to the Future!!) I know, it sounds sacrillegious, but it's the truth.
Now, 4 trips and almost 9 and a half years later, in December 1999, I was arriving at MK as an International Program CM, the first Brazilian Custodial. Agains my will because I traveled a long way to be messing with trash and because I wanted to work at MGM, then my favorite park. You see, at this point, I had already graduated from my English course and had just finished my third semester of college, taking English Language and Literatures (British and American). I knew as much English as I believe I could know, as far as fluency and grammar goes (we all know there's always vocabulary to add up). That's when my life chnaged, so to speak. I was finally understanding pre-shows, spiels, jojkes, stories... The whole deal! I understood what the Ghost Host was saying, I saw the future in Spaceship Earth, I was part of the Great Movie Ride, and I laughed with It's Tough to Be a Bug, not along with other guests! I could sing with the parades and talk to characters, instead of just waving a notepad and a pen at them and saying "please". In a way, that was my first trip to WDW.

So yeah, I really didn't answer the question. What I'm trying to say is that, if you have the kid in you, you're gonna love it for the characters, for the rides, or whatever. But for us, Internationals, it's particularly special to go and be able to understand Walt's whole concept the way you guys do. Nowadays, I'm not able to choose one thing, ride, character, resort, restaurant, land... I love every single detail of it!! :p

I like the "magic". I know it sounds cheesy to say it, but I like seeing how cast members do "magic".

I also like the beautiful gardens and landscaping. :sohappy: for those gardeners!

I agree with Maria, there really is "magic"! It is a feeling like no other. I wish I could bottle it for days when I am feeling blue.

Amen Rodrigo!! That is sooo true! My first trips to WDW were when I was a kid and didn´t understand English as much as I do now. I wouldn´t get the whole meaning of everything and still loved it. I still wanted to become a cast member since then, and in one of the trips I did when I was older -me and my mom were in Miami and decided to go for the day to Epcot only-, I asked a cm the address for casting and when I got home I sent my resume there. I was hired and as you said, being able to understand all the details in rides made it a whole new thing! I had forgotten about that! lol thanks for reminding! ;)

Aaah! Rodrigo, and one more thing: I do understand the feeling of this: "I traveled from thaaat far, to do THIIIIS????!!" ;)

I agree with Maria. When people ask me why I like WDW more than IOA or any other park I say because it's "magical". IOA is a good park, but it's just thrill rides. Not like WDW, which makes you feel young again. I basically like everything from WDW, even standing in SOME lines...:)

Attention to details. Things being done in the best way, not just half way. Things the WOW you. The fact most everyone else is on vaction and in a good mood (or should be, if they aren't, hey thats THEIR problem.)

Most importantly, my husband is so much fun at WDW, it is great to be there with him. (He doesn't even mind spending the money!)

 Of course, that feeling changed after my first week, when I got used to the job and realised that, apart from being a super-greeter, I had the one job that gave me freedom! I used to walk around the whole park on slow days!! :p

I love the way that all 4 parks have relaxing dark rides and the fact that thing is so well-themed with LOTS of little hidden details :) . THe feeling that you get when you walk from the parking lot to the tram (excitement) and when you're walking out of the parks (those lights in the paths at Epcot!!!) and back to your're car (satisfaction) are simply unbeatable.

:sohappy:

I love the feeling I get when our car first approaches the "Welcome to the Magic Kingdom" tollbooth.

I love walking around each of the parks, breathing in the air, and continually thinking "I'm actually here in Disney World".

I love the first glimpses I get of Cinderella's Castle, Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, and Tower of Terror when I start heading out to the parks.

I love the excited feeling I have when I'm heading toward my favorite rides.

I love the relaxation I feel riding the TTA and taking the boat to/from the Magic Kingdom.

I love waking up each morning that I'm there and thinking "what shall I do first.....Space Mountain, Spaceship Earth, RnRC, ToT....."

I love all the parks and all the rides but my favorite thing to do is my fist night there is to go to the Market Place. There I see so many guests just having a great time. It is such a neat atmosphere there and gets me pumped and ready to go to the park the very next morning. Everytime I go, I got to go to the Art of Disney store and shake hands with the Big Mickey Mouse statue in there, and just think that I have one more adventure here.

There is so much that I love about WDW it is so hard to narrow it down to just a few things.
I love how clean it is
I love how nice the CM are
I love the magic
I love the characters
And most of all, I love to be happy and see my family be happy and having a good time, which we always are while we are at WDW!

I think the one major thing that helps make Disney a magical place a opposed to parks like IOA and Six Flags, is the fact that it has always been a family park. IoA and Six Flags have become teen hangouts over the years. Not only for guests, but for employees as well. You don't see the happiness and joy in the IOA employees as you do in the WDW castmembers. This is a huge part of it for me. KNowing that the castmembers are having fun, and that they want to be there. It really shows!

For me it really has to be hmmmm.......... EVERYTHING!!
But what really makes it special for me is the CM's that will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. One time I was with my Sister and Brother-in-law, and my B-I-L got real sick day two but we spent half a day in Epcot anyway. When we got out the fever was worst, he was just a wreck, next morning he was feelign better do to the large amount of pills he downed, so we went over to Guest relations and explained that we couldn't enjoy the day because he was so sick, spent $50 per ticket and didn't do much. The happily gave us 4 new tickets to enjoy our last day. THAT really put it above everyone else. I do not se any other place worry about guest happiness like this place, they really go out of their way to make sure WE are all going to go back again. LOVE IT!!!

Ok here is a little bit of what I love about WDW...

-I love the *magic* (because there is magic there, I just know it!)

-I love how the castmembers are always acting so nice and "disney-ish" :animwink:

-I can't get away from the smell of the Boardwalk, its so clean and so awesome...

-The air in WDW is so different, I always love to take a deep breath and say to myself "I'm really here, I'm in DisneyWorld!"

-The food is awesome!!! Even the fast food-type restaurants are great. Nothing beats the Liberty Tree Tavern or Alfredo's Italian Restaurante in Epcot! :slurp:

-The details on all of the buildings and in the attractions are also what makes WDW special. For example, the last time my family and I were on it's a small world, we were all amazed at how detailed all the children's costumes are. I swear, its magic!
